Friendly Circle - Update on our activities

What do you call an animal with a horse for a father and a donkey for a mother? And what is the secret meaning of the name Pamela?  Just two things you could have discovered if you had joined Friendly Circle , our club for retired people.  There's always something new and interesting at our meetings.

We meet on a monthly basis every second Wednesday in the month, 2.30pm at St James', Marden Ash.  It is an opportunity to gather together, sing some of the old hymns, hear an inspiring word and meet some interesting people.  There's also refreshments.

By the way, a horse father and a donkey mother produce a “hinny”. A mule has the parents the other way round! The name Pamela means “all sweetness”, from two Greek words for all and honey.

We hope you will join us - all most welcome.
