Shoebox campaign

A note from Fiona…

We have received confirmation from ‘Link to Hope’ that 43,966 shoeboxes have been delivered to families & elders in need in Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine following the 2017 campaign.

The 2018 campaign is asking for filled shoeboxes by 6th November.

If you would like to be a part of the campaign but are not able to fill a shoebox yourself, our Friendly Circle group will be packing Shoeboxes at their meeting in October and would be pleased to receive gifts of the following: flannels…gents socks…dominoes…playing cards…lip salve…pens… reading glasses…hankerchiefs

If you would like more information, Fiona will be happy to supply.

Harlow Food Bank

With the increase in demand for this service, it also means a need for extra carrier bags so to keep costs down donations of any reusable carrier bags would be much appreciated.

Harlow Foodbank has run out of tinned tomatoes but have a surplus of backed beans or pasta.

Harlow Foodbank continues to thank everyone who contributes items for our local Foodbank which, as ever, is very much appreciated.

Many thanks
