There is never any shortage of things to bring before God in thanksgiving, request and praise. Please do join us as the Rectory in person or set aside the hour wherever you are if you can't.s parturient montes.
Farewell to James Knowles and family…
After three years as Curate here in the parish, Revd James Knowles is soon to be licensed as the Associate Minister of Christ Church Cockfosters. The Licensing Service will be on Sunday 4th September at 6pm and everyone is most welcome.
The last Sunday James, Tash and the family will be with us here in High Ongar, will be 31st July.
We would like to give James a parting gift. If you would like to contribute, the Churchwardens are collecting contributions; alternatively you could drop your contribution into the Parish Office.
Summer Sundays - Youth Groups
During the weeks of August 2016 we would love to be able to give our usual youth group leaders a summer vacation (along with our other helpers who disciple the youngsters in our church family) by asking others to assist in this most important ministry. So...if YOU would be willing to share the privilege in teaching the Good News of God’s love during one of three Sundays in August (14th, 21st, 28th), then please do let James Knowles know asap. He will supply ready-to-go material in order to make it as simple as possible.
Make & Do Group… Friday 1 July 2016 - 7.30pm - St James' Hall
The Shoebox re-cyclers will meet on Friday 1st July 7.30pm- 9.30pm at St James Hall.
We aim to recycle/upcycle all sorts of things into usable items for inclusion in Shoeboxes for children, families and elders.
It is a fun evening, a great way to spend a couple of hours helping others.
Do come and help us with this worthwhile work to make good use of God’s plentiful provision. For more details contact Fiona Baxter.
